Health Teacher
RSU/SAD #37 is accepting applications for the following position for the 2026-2027 school year: Anticipated Health Teacher at Narraguagus.
About the role
Narraguagus School seeks an experienced and passionate Health Teacher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality health education to students in grades 9-12.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive health education curriculum aligned with state standards
- Provide instruction on topics such as nutrition, mental health, sexual health, and substance abuse prevention
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a holistic approach to student development
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in health education
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Current Maine teaching license
- Experience teaching health education at the secondary level
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
Qualifications
- Pass a background check
- Pass a drug screening
