Health System Specialist
Responsibilities
- Support the SR team in data gathering and analysis
- Assist and manage system improvement activities and projects
- Create and evaluate reports
- Deliver Performance Improvement techniques (Lean, Coaching, Project Management, Training) to programs and services throughout the Medical Center
- Assist with SR education and training
- Serve as a resource for data capture matters, including spreadsheets and graphic software for managerial, administrative, and clinical purposes
- Execute special projects requiring a variety of tasks and duties
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of 09/24/2026. Current Federal employees must also meet time‑in‑grade requirements: for GS‑09, 52 weeks at GS‑07; for GS‑11, 52 weeks at GS‑09. An SF‑50 showing eligibility must be submitted; if the most recent SF‑50 is within the past year and does not clearly show one‑year time‑in‑grade, an additional SF‑50 must be provided. Time‑in‑grade also applies to former Federal employees seeking reinstatement or VEOA appointment.
Individual Occupational Requirement: Undergraduate or graduate major in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields (business, public administration) with course work in health care administration; OR progressively responsible analytical, administrative, clinical management, or supervisory experience in the health care field, involving close work with facility managers and analysis/coordination of administrative, clinical, or service activities, and knowledge of health care delivery missions, organizations, programs, requirements; regulations and standards of regulatory/credentialing groups; and government‑wide, agency, and facility systems in areas such as budget, personnel, and procurement.
