About the role

At Topeka Presbyterian Manor, a faith‑based, not‑for‑profit community, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises the daily nursing activities of LPNs and nursing assistants. The role emphasizes resident‑centered care, adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and fostering a home‑like environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Ensure all nursing practices comply with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
• Advance the value that the resident comes first and model person‑centered care.
• Promote a culture of learning, growth, and engagement within the team.

Requirements

• Current active RN license in the state.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university or graduation from an approved RN program.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a hospital, long‑term care community, or related health‑care facility.
• Geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and the laws/regulations governing long‑term care.

Pay

Starting at $36.00 per hour plus weekend differential under the Premium Pay Plan, with additional pay based on experience.
