Health Services Nurse Lead – Occupational Health

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational health nursing services with a focus on workplace injury evaluation, employee health support, documentation, and follow-up.
  • Serve as the on-duty operational lead when assigned, helping ensure safe, effective, and efficient Health Services operations.
  • Coordinate daily staffing assignments, break schedules, workload distribution, and operational coverage.
  • Serve as a clinical and operational resource during occupational health encounters, Team Member or guest medical incidents, and other emergent or non-emergent situations.
  • Identify injury trends, documentation concerns, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement, and communicate prevention-focused recommendations to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, employee health, workers’ compensation, case management, workplace injury management, urgent care, emergency care, or a comparable clinical setting.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience serving as a lead, charge nurse, preceptor, trainer, supervisor, or similar clinical leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of workplace injury documentation, Workers’ Compensation processes, return-to-work coordination, and OSHA or Cal/OSHA compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, support team members, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Occupational health-related certifications such as CAOHC, COHN, COHN-S, CCM, CDMS, or similar certifications.
  • Experience in occupational health, employee health, industrial clinic, workers’ compensation, case management, return-to-work coordination, or workplace injury management programs.
  • Experience with OSHA or Cal/OSHA recordkeeping, exposure response, medical surveillance, regulated workplace health programs, or occupational health compliance activities.
  • Experience supporting healthcare operations in an entertainment venue, hospitality environment, event medicine setting, theme park, urgent care, emergency care, or other high-volume operational environment.
  • Experience conducting quality assurance reviews, documentation audits, competency assessments, and clinical process improvement activities.
  • CPR/BLS Instructor certification.
  • Experience developing, facilitating, or delivering staff training programs.

Pay

$46.90 per hour

Schedule

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week on a set schedule. Available schedule options may include Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday. Candidates must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shift lengths based on operational needs, business seasonality, and special events.
