Health & Safety Manager

About the role

The Health & Safety Manager coordinates and monitors comprehensive health services, including medical, dental, nutrition, and mental health, for enrolled children and their families under the direction of the ECE Director.

Responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with federal Head Start Performance Standards and state Childcare Licensing requirements.
• Works closely with family services staff and community health providers to support the overall health, safety, and well-being of enrolled children, their families, and staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
• Experience in early childhood education and/or healthcare administration.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to early childhood education and healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
