About the role
The Health Principal role at HDR is a leadership position focused on growing and developing the health architecture practice in the local and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing health sector goals, collaborating with leadership to secure new project work, building client relationships, and participating in professional organizations.
Responsibilities
- Manage Health Sector Goals
- Collaborate with Health Sector Leadership
- Grow Local Health Sector Team
- Develop and Win New Business Relationships
- Build Client Relationships
- Demonstrate Local Leadership
- Represent and Advance the Firm
- Coordinate BD, marketing and practice growth efforts
- Lead and oversee proposal writing
- Lead and prepare for interviews and presentations
- Work and collaborate with regional health leaders, marketing staff, and design professionals
- Monitor marketing progress and track project finances
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture
- 15 years related experience
- 7 years project management experience
- Registered Architect
- Experience on large-scale health projects
- PMP certification
- Knowledge and experience within the local and regional health market
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project)
- Extensive knowledge and experience within the local and regional market
- Strong team leadership, mentoring, motivational/organizational and people skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience on large-scale health projects
- Knowledge and experience within the local and regional health market
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED

Pay
Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
