About the Role

Millions of people will rely on AI for health information. You can help make sure it's accurate.

Alignerr partners with the world's leading AI research labs to build smarter, safer AI models. We're looking for public health professionals — MPH graduates, epidemiologists, health policy experts — to help train and evaluate AI on complex health topics. Your domain expertise will directly shape how AI understands disease, policy, and population health for years to come.

What You'll Do

  • Create realistic, challenging problems involving disease outbreak simulations, health equity assessments, biostatistics interpretation, and policy analysis
  • Write rigorous, evidence-based responses grounded in peer-reviewed research, epidemiological data, and established guidelines (CDC, WHO, and others)
  • Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, bias, ethical compliance, and logical consistency; identify gaps and misinformation in health reasoning
  • Provide structured feedback to help models distinguish correlation from causation, communicate health risks clearly, and respond appropriately across diverse populations

Who You Are

  • Master's degree in Public Health (MPH), Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH), or a closely related graduate-level field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in at least two of: Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Environmental Health, or Health Policy
  • Ability to translate complex health data into clear, accurate, and culturally sensitive written communication
  • High attention to detail — especially around statistical significance, source citations, and intervention logic
  • No prior AI experience required
  • Nice to have:
    • Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or research coordination
    • Proficiency with data analysis tools such as R, SAS, or Stata
    • Background in health communication, clinical research, or public health surveillance

Why Join Us

  • Meaningful impact — Your expertise helps ensure AI delivers accurate, evidence-based health information to real users
  • Fully remote and flexible — Work from anywhere, on a schedule that fits your life (10–40 hours/week)
  • Work with cutting-edge AI — Engage directly with industry-leading large language models
  • Autonomy — High agency as an independent contractor with access to global projects
  • Ongoing opportunities — Strong potential for contract renewals and continued collaboration
