Health Intelligence Manager
NHS Western Isles is currently inviting applications for the role of Health Intelligence Manager.
About the role
The Health Intelligence Manager will have significant expertise across a range of tools and techniques used to deliver health intelligence functions, including data extraction, data warehousing, data analysis, and data presentation. They will be adept at delivering technically excellent solutions to challenging timescales and in the presence of competing priorities. The role involves working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and explaining complex information to a variety of audiences.
The post is based at the Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, with occasional travel to other sites required. The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Health and Care Worker visa, and NHS Western Isles is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of the departmental workplan.
- Report on the implementation of the workplan through established governance processes.
- Operate with a high level of discretion and independence, making effective use of departmental resources.
- Line manage, lead, and develop a team of analysts, including handling human resources matters.
Qualifications
- Established expertise in data extraction, data warehousing, data analysis, and data presentation.
- Experience leading, managing, and developing a team of analysts.
Pay
£62,681 - £67,665 per annum, plus a Distant Islands Allowance of £1,461.
Schedule
36 hours per week, permanent post.
