Health Information Technology Instructional Support Assistant, part time

Responsibilities

  • Aids faculty with new student onboarding through Academic Advising.
  • Maintains HIT student folders and tracking forms.
  • Maintains curriculum statistical and informational reports.
  • Handles graduate and employer survey correspondence and surveys.
  • Updates course information in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Maintains and updates noncredit ExamPrep courses.
  • Attends academic program and department meetings.
  • Negotiates 1+1 articulation agreements with career colleges and community colleges.
  • Communicates with workforce development relationships.
  • Supports Program Director with annual reporting requirements.
  • Job Requirements

    • Associate degree in health information technology, business administration, office technology, or related field.
    • Experience interacting effectively with colleagues, staff, students, and administrators.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Associate degree in health information technology from a CAHIIM-accredited institution.
    • RHIT credential or RHIT eligible.
    • Work experience in a health information management (HIM) department in a healthcare facility.
    • Familiarity with online learning management systems.
