Shift Description

Hybrid Position- 3 days a week in office Must live near Trinity Location

Position Purpose

Health Informatics (HI) integrates health care science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in clinical practice across the care continuum. It supports operations with information structures, information processes, and information technology to improve the health of populations, communities, families, and individuals.

Work Focus

  • Researches, collects & analyzes information
  • Identifies opportunities, develops solutions, & leads through resolution
  • Collaborates on performance improvement activities
  • Distributes analytical reports

Process Focus

  • Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials
  • Incorporates basic knowledge of TH policies, practices & procedures
  • Demonstrates knowledge of departmental processes & procedures & ability to readily acquire new knowledge

Data Management & Analysis

  • Research & compiles information to support ad-hoc operational projects & initiatives
  • Synthesizes & analyzes data & provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends & recommends practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision making
  • Leverages program & operational data & measurements to define & demonstrate progress, ROI & impacts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health Informatics through a combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of Health Informatics with at least two (2) years of experience in an informatics or related role and experience with clinical information systems and health information technology
  • Basic understanding of clinical treatment modalities, educational principles, clinical information systems, accreditation and regulatory standards, and program development
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of change management principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of project management principles

Additional Qualifications (nice to have)

  • Certification from a national informatics certifying body preferred
  • Fellowship, academic courses, or other formal training in Health Informatics preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree with the focus on Health Informatics or related discipline preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Physical & Mental Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Indirect / Healthcare Support Services: Occasional clinical / patient facing work environment, continuous work time indoors (subject to travel requirements), continuous sitting, frequent travel & use of computer, occasional lifting, up to 30 pounds unassisted, frequent travel & use of computer, occasional grasping/handling, continuous attention to maintain a safe working environment & use of available personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Direct Healthcare & Indirect / Support Healthcare Services: must be able to: adapt to frequent interruptions, shifting priorities & stressful situations, attend to tasks until complete, understand & relate to complex ideas & concepts & be able to remember multiple tasks & regimens extending over long periods of time & work on concurrent tasks / projects, continuously read small print, frequent ability to hear normal sounds & voice patterns, able to give / receive instructions & other verbal communications in-person & over the phone / computer / device / equipment assigned with some background noise, perform frequent manual dexterity activities & occasional grasping/handling, continuous attention to maintain a safe working environment & use of available personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay Range

$75,592- $113,389
