About the role
This position provides leadership in identifying goals for and developing Health Education programs for Campus Health & Wellbeing and addresses long and short-term campus health education needs. This incumbent directs, plans, designs, implements, and evaluates health education programs with the goal of improving health knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize health education goals and objectives aligned with Campus Health & Wellbeing’s mission and strategic plan.
- Develop and implement health education programs addressing campus health concerns such as stress, sleep disruption, and mental health and suicide risk.
- Evaluate health education programs using data-driven approaches to assess effectiveness and make improvements.
- Collaborate with campus partners to integrate health education into existing programs and initiatives.
- Provide training and education to campus stakeholders on health topics relevant to students, faculty, and staff.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in health education and incorporate these into program development.
Requirements
- Thorough knowledge of health education theories, research, and program assessment, and of the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of health education programs.
- Thorough knowledge of industry standards for the delivery of health education and health promotion in higher education.
- Working knowledge of the principles of educational and social psychology and their application to health education programming.
- Working knowledge of evidence-informed prevention and gatekeeper training models, such as QPR, and of campus and community referral pathways to licensed clinical resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an approved program in health education or a related health field.
- One to two years of progressively responsible health education experience or combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge and abilities.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
Anticipated Hiring Range: $72,072 - $82,788 Per Year
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week
