Health Educator III

About the role

The Health Educator III is responsible for leading the health promotion efforts for the Healthy Living Program in cultivating a campus environment in which students feel educated and empowered to make healthy and responsible choices that contribute to their overall personal and academic success. Additionally, they serve as the Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Coordinator, developing and implementing strategies that target awareness, prevention, and treatment of the misuse of alcohol and other substances based on best practices and assessment of students struggling with alcohol and drug use. Develops, implements, and evaluates various outreach programs to address the needs of the student population, through presentations, events, and educational programs on a variety of health/wellness topics.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the university's AOD Coordinator, developing and implementing strategies targeting awareness, prevention, and treatment of the misuse of alcohol and other substances.
