Health Educator I - Part Time, No Benefits

About the role

The Utah County Health Department seeks to prevent avoidable disease and injury and promote health by monitoring the health of the community and assuring conditions in which people can be healthy.

Responsibilities

• Assist, develop, design, monitor, coordinate, evaluate, and administer health education and prevention activities in Utah County.
• Perform clerical, technical, and entry-level professional work.

Qualifications

Health Educator I (minimum hiring requirements):

• Bachelor's degree in Health, Community Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, or a closely related field.
• Two (2) years of work experience in public health or a related field.
• A completed related master's degree may be substituted for two (2) years of health education work experience.
• Applicants must be eligible to become a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and/or Certified in Public Health (CPH).

Health Education Technician (minimum hiring requirements):

• Bachelor's degree in Community Health, Health Promotion, Public Health, or a related field.

Pay

• Health Educator I: $24.95 - $28.67 per hour
• Health Education Technician: $23.27 - $26.74 per hour

Salary will be determined upon experience and/or education.

Part Time position (no benefits).
