Health Coach

About the role

Momentum Health is hiring health coaches to join a physician-led care team focused on helping people achieve lasting metabolic health. The role offers remote, relationship-focused coaching supported by Motivational Interviewing training.

Responsibilities

• Accountability Partner — proactive, non-judgmental check-ins to ensure participants stay consistent with their goals and commitments.
• Motivator — recognizing real progress and assisting participants in overcoming plateaus, setbacks, and discouragement.
• Troubleshooting Partner — helping participants address real-life barriers to nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress.
• Physician Team Partner — coordinating closely with the program physician, updating care plans, and promptly addressing clinical questions.

Requirements

• Current, active health coach certification (preferred but not required).
• 1+ years of experience in health and wellness coaching or a related field.
• Strong listening skills and comfort with open-ended, exploratory conversations.
• Willingness to train in Motivational Interviewing, which will be provided as part of onboarding.
• A reliable, private space for remote coaching calls and a consistent weekly schedule.

Compensation & Growth

Coaches earn $24–$28 per hour, based on experience and certification, competitive with the Utah health coach market. Hourly pay covers coaching sessions, participant outreach between sessions, and documentation. This is a W-2 position, with professional liability insurance provided by Momentum Health. Coaches start part-time and have the opportunity to grow into full-time hours as the participant base and coaching schedules expand.
