About the role
Murdoch Developmental Center is currently recruiting for a Health Care Technician II located at Arbor Cottage, Unit1 and reports to the Unit Manager.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a Supervisory technician and monitors the care provided by the Health Care Technician I’s providing feedback to staff as needed.
- Provides specialized direct services to adults with intellectual developmental disabilities, some of whom may have behavior problems and/or medical conditions in the form of behavioral programming, habilitative training/activities, and in assisting with necessary health care, personal care and all aspects of daily living.
Requirements
This position requires:
- Experience working with Multi-handicapped individuals having knowledge of basic health care, hygiene and safety.
- Necessary Required Training or Certification - As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
Qualifications
The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)/ Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:

Schedule
Normal working hours are on 2nd Shift 2:30p.m. - 11:00p.m., including Holidays and every other weekend . Some flexibility required to meet center's needs.
