Health Care Associate - Minneapolis
About the role
Faegre Drinker is seeking a mid-level associate to join our dynamic Health Care practice in our Minneapolis office. This position offers the exciting opportunity to work cross-office and cross-teams on sophisticated health care matters.
Responsibilities
- Familiarity with federal and state health care regulations, including HIPAA and state privacy laws, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare/Medicaid, and provider licensure requirements.
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts related to health care, such as provider and vendor agreements with health care facilities, and business associate agreements.
- Ability to conduct legal research and analysis on complex health care issues.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Interest in participating in business development, client presentations, and industry events.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience, with law firm experience preferred, and a strong grounding in healthcare transactional and regulatory matters.
- JD from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Admission to the Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington, DC bar; those with eligibility to waive in promptly after hire will be considered.

Pay
The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position in the Minneapolis office is $210,000 - $245,000. Compensation for this position in other offices will vary; the anticipated compensation range for other locations is available here. Actual initial salary will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.
Schedule
Our in-office work policy asks all attorneys, consulting professionals and paraprofessionals to work from a Faegre Drinker office three days per week, striking a balance between in-person collaboration, relationship-building, and exceptional client service, while also supporting individual flexibility and work-life balance.
