Health and Wellness Intern - Albright College

About the role

As a Health and Wellness Intern, you will assist the Campus Dining Registered Dietitian with nutrition and wellness events across campus. This position is ideal for a student interested in nutrition or allied health. The internship is an on-site role between August and May (this is not a summer internship). Must have some noon-afternoon availability for events.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with district Registered Dietitian and marketing managers to plan events
• Assist in creation of nutrition-related educational materials and promotional graphics
• Support nutrition event execution
• Assist with event promotion on social media
• Help with other dining services and student engagement events as needed
• Assist in training staff as needed
• Maintain excellent customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Ensure security of company assets

Requirements

• Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred, but not required
• Experience in food service or a related field preferred but not required
• Must communicate fluently in English; bilingual or multilingual is a plus
• Ability to stay calm under pressure
• Comfort with using technology including web-based software
• Must be flexible and adaptable to change

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
