About the Role
This role works directly with site Operations leaders to drive EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) ownership and accountability. The position reports directly to the Safety Manager with frequent interaction and direction from the Safety Director. It serves as a critical partnership between the Operations team and the EHS team to cultivate a behavior-based safety culture.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical safety and health support and information to the site Operations team.
- Coordinates and delivers EHS training to employees.
- Responsible for execution of the site safety improvement plan.
- Performs risk assessments of site operations to determine risk and implement defenses to protect employees from uncontrolled risk.
- Manages all aspects of workplace injuries and near misses, including documenting incidents, leading incident investigation teams, determining root cause(s), and implementing corrective action(s).
- Participates in new product/process reviews, including process hazard analyses, operator training, and Job Safety Analysis.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.

- Uses PC and related software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gensuite).
- Handles multiple priorities and meets critical deadlines.
- Delivers executive presentations to the site leadership team.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in Health and Safety.
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish).
- Experience in ergonomics and completing functional ergonomic assessments.
- Understands Federal and State occupational safety and health regulations and monitors regulatory changes as they occur.
Skills
- Strong technical safety and health support capabilities.
- Ability to coordinate and deliver EHS training.
- Proficiency in risk assessment and incident investigation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and Gensuite.
- Strong presentation skills for executive leadership.
