About the role
The Health and Fitness Manager oversees the health and fitness studio at Touchmark at Emerald Lake, providing quality health and fitness opportunities for residents, conducting classes, and offering personal training sessions. They are responsible for growing personal training hours, modern fitness classes, and team member participation in health and fitness activities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, fitness training, or related discipline
- Minimum five years’ experience in a fitness/wellness management role
- Experience working with aging adults and/or special fitness populations
- Experience in a retirement community setting is a plus
- Minimum five years’ experience working with the mature population
- Nationally recognized and current AED/CPR and First Aid certification required or obtained shortly after hire
- A genuine interest in working with adults (age 50+) to help them achieve their physical fitness goals
- A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
Qualifications
- Current certification through a nationally accredited organization (such as ACSM, NSCA, NASM, ACE)
