About the role

The position is available within New Hanover County Schools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement athletic programs in accordance with school policies and state regulations.
• Coach teams and provide individualized instruction to enhance athletic performance.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with other coaches, teachers, and administrators to support student development.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in physical education or a related field.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience coaching at the high school level.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
• Knowledge of current coaching techniques and trends.
