About the role
The next head varsity flag football coach at CCDS will be expected to be a role model for students and build upon the strong tradition of CCDS athletics. The coach will lead the program with character, class, and integrity and develop a program consistent with the high standards of the Country Day community.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the director of athletics and associate director of athletics to manage all aspects of the flag football program
- Clearly communicate with players and families about expectations for being a member of the flag football team
- Lead a coaching staff that develops a positive culture allowing flag football players to develop and enjoy the game
- Plan practices to improve individual and team performance
- Collaborate with the athletic department to build a cohesive flag football program, from Middle School through Upper School
- Attend all practices and games
Requirements
- Possess a Pupil Activity Permit (PAP) through the Ohio Department of Education (CCDS will reimburse costs of obtaining certificates and completing classes)
- Complete Coaches Tool Chest
- Pass a background/fingerprint check (every five years after hire and any time requested by CCDS)
Previous flag football coaching experience preferred but not required.
Schedule
Spring season begins in mid-February and runs through the end of the school year. This is a part-time position.
