Head Track and Field Coach, Northridge High School

Head Track and Field Coach position at Northridge High School. Salary placement is based on the sport and the employee's in-district experience as outlined in Article XXIII of the Master Contract.

About the role

Responsible for all aspects of head coaching, overseeing assistant coaches, and making decisions based on the direction of the program.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and supervising game help
• Assists with supervision at activities
• Supervises assistant coaches
• Regular attendance is required

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification
• CHSAA test and regulation compliance
• Concussion education training (must be completed by applicant)
• Prior coaching experience in track and field
• Knowledge of Colorado and district content standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual skills
• Leadership experience in meeting the social, emotional, psychological, and academic needs of students

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Visual, auditory, and ambulatory acuity important
• Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds
• Numerous distractions and high tolerance for stress
• Flexibility and ability to deal with conflict
• Long hours may be required
