Schedule
Full-time, 40 hrs/wk at the Tried Rd. location in Fort Wayne, IN, with a rotating schedule:
- Week A: Mon: 8:15am-5:15pm, Tues & Wed: 10:00am-6:15pm, Thurs & Fri: 8:45am-5:15pm, Sat: Off
- Week B: Mon: 8:30am-2:00pm, Tues: 9:00am-5:15pm, Wed: 10:00am-6:15pm, Thurs & Fri: 9:00am-5:15pm, Sat: 8:45am-12:15pm
About the role
Enhance member experience by assisting the branch management team with overall branch activities, including cash operations, sales and service standards, goal achievement, financial compliance, and operational efficiency. Support training, direction, and oversight of teller staff while fostering a professional and cohesive work environment.
Responsibilities
- 25% Assist branch management with weekly reviews of accounts using appropriate checklists. Ensure work is accurate, complete, and compliant before month-end submission. Identify cross-sell opportunities to provide members with additional products and services, supporting productivity, growth, and profitability goals. Participate in community engagement activities to raise credit union awareness and establish new business.
- 20% Perform teller responsibilities, including processing transactions accurately, balancing cash drawers daily, and notifying managers of discrepancies. Follow established policies, secure funds, and monitor branch activity for compliance. Identify cross-sell opportunities and troubleshoot member concerns to enhance their experience.
- 20% Assist with branch opening, end-of-day processes, and month-end duties, including night drop verification and monthly surprise cash audits under dual control. Prepare and submit daily reports to branch management and maintain documentation.
- 20% Assist with weekly cash orders, replenish branch and teller cash supplies, and maintain proper documentation of currency received and disbursed. Aid in vault reconcilement and balancing under dual control, and provide ATM balancing assistance.
- 15% Oversee teller operational training and duties, coordinate workflow, and assist on the teller line. Ensure tellers provide friendly, professional service while meeting member needs and expectations.
Compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control) is required. This role reflects the credit union’s culture, mission, and core values through exceptional service supporting both employees and members.
Requirements
- Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory roles.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy and tact are essential for routine interactions with members and colleagues.
