Job Duties
- Analyze cash needs and make certain that sufficient cash is available.
- Replenish cash to tellers; maintain and balance cash dispensers (where applicable), as needed.
- Maintain plastic cards, inventories and reconcile to monthly reports as needed.
- Schedule and supervise work of tellers on a regular basis.
- Maintain daily schedule for teller staff (i.e. lunch hours, vacation, etc.) to assure branch is staffed appropriately.
- Monitor, edit, and approve eTIME timecards.
- Complete performance reviews with assistance from management, etc.
- Maintain individual cash box.
- Absorb and present product and service information to members.
- Handle complex accounts and problems of credit union members with total accuracy and professionalism.
- Work various departmental reports on a timely basis.
- Ensure that checks are scanned in a timely manner.
- Ensure that branch is balanced at the end of the day.
- Reinforce Credit Union Security policies and branch procedures to the tellers.
- Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA.
Job Specifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 6 months of teller experience, with a proven ability to handle large sums of money accurately and efficiently.
- Strong work ethic and reliability, suitable for a leadership-focused role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Credit Union’s: Cash Policy, Security Program, Broad understanding of all Credit Union products and services, with the ability to provide members with accurate information on: Interest rates, Savings accounts, Certificates, Other available Credit Union services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
