What You'll Do

• Ensure the classroom is a safe and healthy learning environment, fostering a sense of well-being and security for all children.
• Build strong relationships with children and families by creating a warm, supportive atmosphere that encourages trust and open communication.
• Welcome and involve families in the learning process, recognizing them as their child's primary educator and supporting the development of meaningful relationships between children and families.
• Design and implement engaging daily learning experiences that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child.
• Create a dynamic and interactive classroom environment, incorporating both teacher-led and child-initiated activities that promote learning and development.
• Develop and maintain relationships with families through regular home visits and center visits, scheduling meetings at a time convenient for them.

Requirements

• Get down to a child's level to engage with them effectively.
• Participate in physical activities with children, including running, hopping, jumping, dancing, and full body motions.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations by running after a child in peril.
• Lift children in emergency situations, if necessary.
• Comfort and nurture children who may be upset or challenging.
• Take action to ensure children's safety in case of a fire, helping them crawl to safety.
• Develop strategies to manage accidental kicks or hits during energetic play.

Nice To Haves

• Embody enthusiasm and energy, with a sense of humor and a commitment to ongoing learning.
• Familiarity with technology is a plus!
