About the role

Southern NH Services Head Start has a school-year family worker position available for a human services professional who can build positive and strength-based partnerships with parents, coaching families in the process of identifying and meeting family development goals. This is an opportunity for individuals entering or re-entering the workforce.

This position is 30 hours per week for 41 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the provision of comprehensive services in the areas of education, health, nutrition, disabilities, and mental health
  • Conduct home visits
  • Provide parent support and education
  • Perform recruitment and outreach

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Prior experience in case work, community organizations, or working with small groups
  • Ability to be flexible with time
  • Valid driver’s license, current adequate car insurance, and reliable transportation
