About the role

The Classroom Aide serves under the direction of the Education Supervisor as a second or third adult staff member in the classroom to assist with supervising children ages 3 to 5. Supports teachers with class routines, activities, and active supervision. This position may be regular, substitute, or on-call, depending on needs.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Teacher Aide in the classroom, including supervising and interacting with children during circle time, singing, transitions, reading stories, and participating with children in learning centers.
• Assist teachers with active supervision, keeping children safe, healthy, and well-supervised in the classroom and on the playground.
• Support teachers with behavior management.
• Model positive classroom management and promote respect for all children and adults.
• Demonstrate appropriate hand washing, tooth brushing, and table manners for the children.
• Assist with cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing toys, floors, and other common areas and surfaces in the classroom.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (required).
• Early Childhood Experience (preferred).

Pay

$15.00 hourly

Schedule

Part-time
