Head Start Bus Driver

Responsibilities

• Transports students to and from Head Start centers and other approved sites.
• Ensures quality services are delivered through seamless interaction with all stakeholders.
• Operates school transportation vehicles, including handicapped accessible vehicles, within designated routes and time schedules in accordance with all applicable regulations.
• Safeguards agency property and ensures its proper maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with no points against license or condition of any moving violations within the past two years.
• No involvement in injury or property damage accidents of own responsibility within the past two years.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License.
• Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
• Able to lift/manipulate/move objects weighing no more than 60lbs. from one place to another.
• Able to lift from the floor to 18in. above the shoulder.
• Able to comprehend, process, interpret, and carry-out instructions related to the job.
• Strong communication skills required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Monday-Thursday schedule; 4 hours per day.
• $19.05 per hour.
