About the role
The Head Coach–Softball is responsible for initiating and overseeing various aspects of the program, including recruiting, planning, coaching, scheduling opponents, training team members, and managing and directing the softball program. The Head Coach–Softball is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Cowley College, Jayhawk Athletic Conference, and the NJCAA.
Responsibilities
- Manages and directs the softball program.
- Coaches the softball team.
- Manages all aspects of the team, including strength and conditioning, practicing, competing, and scheduling.
- Evaluates and recruits qualified student athletes.
- Hires, trains, directs, and supervises the assistant softball coach and work-study students.
- Manages a fiscally sound budget.
- Monitors class schedules, grades, and student-athlete academic progress.
- Responsible for marketing and promoting the softball program.
- Assists the administration and Tiger Booster Club with alumni relations.

$50,625.42 – $59,511.90
