Head Porter

About the role

As a Head Porter at Skalnek Ford, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the schedule for the Porters/Lot attendants at Skalnek Ford. You will be the overall liaison between the management and the porter staff. You will need to know the schedule for the staff and the work load for each day, direct individuals and report back to management. You will guide the staff in the overall appearance and organization of our lot.

Responsibilities

• Keep the lot clean and organized
• Ensure vehicles are readily available for test drives and showcase our inventory to its best advantage
• Collaborate with the Management team throughout the day to support the sales staff and their efforts and provide necessary assistance
• Maintain a neat and attractive display of vehicles by positioning them correctly and ensuring they are clean
• Greet customers in a friendly manner, offer assistance with locating vehicles of interest, and provide answers to any questions they may have
• Keep track of vehicle locations, ensuring they are readily available for test drives and showcasing

Requirements

• Dependability: Punctuality and reliability are essential for success in this role.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, and lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
• Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to ensure vehicles are clean, properly positioned, and in good condition.
• Customer Service: Friendly and positive attitude with excellent communication skills to assist customers effectively.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain an organized and efficient work area.
• Valid Driver's License: Must possess a valid driver's license to move and position vehicles as needed.

Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
