Head of Teaching

Key Responsibilities

• Overall management of teaching and curriculum development
• Supervision and integration of course offerings in cooperation with program directors
• Supervision of course staffing and recruitment of adjunct instructors
• Monitoring and ensuring the quality of teaching
• Overseeing student-related issues, including progress, complaints, or other matters in cooperation with the teaching office
• Representing AUI at the Graduate School Center and managing the university’s postgraduate programs
• Active participation in professional development and organizational growth within the university

Required Qualifications

• PhD and academic credentials
• Strong communication skills, positivity, drive, and ability to manage change
• Leadership skills and ability to inspire others toward success
• Ability to shape and communicate a vision for teaching and education
• Experience in managing teaching and curriculum development is required
• Experience working in a university setting is required

About The Position

Salary according to the applicable collective agreement between the Minister of Finance and the relevant trade union. The rector appoints the Head of Teaching for a five-year term according to the procedures set by the university council, and the Head of Teaching serves under the rector’s mandate. The position may be held for a maximum of two terms.
