Job Location: Flexible within company footprint (Jupiter, FL, Redmond, WA, Mason, OH) Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked – and have every other Friday off Rocketdyne is seeking to hire a strategic and execution-oriented Supply Chain Leader to build, optimize, and scale a high-performing supply chain organization across a growing multi-site aerospace manufacturing enterprise. This role will lead end-to-end supply chain operations including sourcing, procurement, planning and supplier development. The ideal candidate brings deep aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing experience and has successfully stood up or transformed a modern, efficient supply chain organization in a complex operational environment. This leader will drive operational excellence, supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and scalable processes that support rapid growth, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction. This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic vision with tactical execution across multiple facilities and product lines. The successful candidate will be a strategic yet hands-on leader with a strong operational mindset, capable of driving change in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual should bring a track record of building efficient organizations, improving execution, and developing high-performing teams. Essential Functions Strategic LeadershipDevelop and execute an enterprise-wide supply chain strategy aligned with company growth objectives, customer commitments, and operational priorities.Build and lead a multi-site supply chain organization that is standardized, scalable, and performance-oriented.Assess current-state processes, organizational structure, systems, and capabilities; design and implement a future-state operating model that improves efficiency, visibility, and accountability.Lead procurement, strategic sourcing, planning, and supplier development across multiple sitesServe as a key member of the senior leadership team, partnering closely with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Business Development.Organizational Design and TransformationLead the stand-up, redesign, or transformation of the supply chain organization, including roles, responsibilities, governance, and process ownership.Establish clear functional alignment across sourcing, procurement, planning, master scheduling, inventory control, logistics, and supplier management.Drive standard work, common metrics, and integrated planning processes across all sites.Build organizational capability through talent assessment, coaching, succession planning, and targeted hiring.Procurement and Supplier ManagementLead strategic sourcing and procurement activities to ensure cost competitiveness, supply continuity, and strong supplier performance.Develop supplier segmentation, risk management, and performance management processes to improve quality, delivery, responsiveness, and resilience.Negotiate key supplier agreements and partnerships, including long-term agreements where appropriate.Partner with Quality and Engineering to strengthen supplier qualification, development, and corrective action processes.Planning, Inventory, and Operations SupportImprove material availability and on-time delivery while optimizing inventory, working capital, and lead times.Drive cross-functional execution to resolve shortages, constraints, and capacity issues.Systems, Process, and Performance ImprovementChampion the use of ERP/MRP systems, analytics, and reporting tools to improve planning accuracy, material visibility, and decision-making.Implement KPIs and management operating rhythms focused on on-time delivery, supplier quality, lead time, inventory turns, material availability, and cost performance.Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence methodologies.Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace, regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and twelve (12) years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturingEquivalent experience of 4 years will be considered in lieu of a degreeExperience leading end-to-end supply chain functions, including sourcing, procurement, planning, inventory management, logistics, and supplier performanceStrong track record of driving measurable improvements in on-time delivery, inventory performance, cost, supplier reliability, and process efficiencyProven success building, transforming, or scaling supply chain organizationsDemonstrated capability leading supply chain operations across multiple manufacturing sitesStrong background in strategic sourcing, planning, supplier management, and inventory optimizationPractical experience implementing scalable systems, processes, and performance metrics Preferred Additional Skills Standing up a new or significantly redesigned supply chain organizationSupporting rapid growth, operational scaling, or transformation initiativesExperience in vertically integrated manufacturing environmentsManaging complex supplier networks and aerospace programsKnowledge of aerospace quality and regulatory environments including AS9100, FAA, DoD, or ITAR requirements
