Head of Supply Chain and Logistics

About the role

The Head of Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational performance, and continuous improvement of Carl Zeiss Meditec USA's end-to-end supply chain, logistics, inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and transportation network.

This role has overall accountability for all company-owned inventory across U.S. 3PL distribution centers, regional warehouses, field inventory locations, consignment inventory, and demo asset pools, ensuring optimal inventory availability, accuracy, compliance, traceability, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum BA/BS or equivalent experience in related field
• Minimum five (5) years related knowledge and experience in distribution logistics, warehousing, inventory control, shipping and receiving, custom and traffic, material handling or service
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in supervisory/management role
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Project management and contract negotiation skills desired
• Experience in a FDA or ISO operation environment desired
• Proven ability to set priorities and solve complex problems
• Define, improve, and train on procedures, problem solve, and strong analytics
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP, WMS, and Scanning Equipment
• Routine travel to local 3PL site
