About the Role
The Head of Solutions Delivery is a key member of the IT Leadership Team, primarily focusing on ensuring the delivery of IT solutions by defining customer-centric solutions, building, testing, and implementing all aspects of information security to achieve committed business outcomes. This role is accountable for operational stability, quality metrics, the health of applications, and disaster recovery readiness.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of senior-level directors responsible for influencing business strategies and enabling technology and data roadmaps across lines of business, including Retail/Small Business/Mortgage, Community Banking, Private Bank, Corporate Banking, Shared Services, and Testing Center of Excellence.
- Own the software development lifecycle methodologies and provide technical leadership to engineering and development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the design of complex software systems while incorporating human-centric design principles and facilitate design-thinking workshops to create intuitive solutions.
- Provide technical thought leadership and consultation to heads of business lines through monthly reviews of priorities and project performance.
- Lead the adoption of Agile thinking and modern ways of building technology and data solutions.
- Lead delivery of key solution technology initiatives and projects across the full infrastructure project portfolio, ensuring established project processes and methodologies are followed.
- Ensure solutions operations perform at or above SLA, minimizing business disruption through rigorous standards, processes, and execution.
- Build and manage top-flight technology solutions through strong talent management practices, including developing talent hubs geographically.
- Provide monthly regulatory reporting to the FRB and OCC, and quarterly updates to the CIO and technology board committee.
- Develop policies, standards, and guidelines that direct the selection, development, and implementation of enterprise solutions.
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture artifacts and standards for common technologies, as well as current and planned state solution blueprints.
- Participate in the creation and execution of the technology strategy for solution platforms, partnerships, and external relationships.
- Work with lines of business to request OPEX and CAPEX investments.
- Use independent judgment and discretion to make decisions, analyze and resolve problems.
- Perform talent management functions, including employment, performance evaluations, staff development/training, disciplinary actions, succession planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including completing required compliance trainings.
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience as a Sr. Manager, Director, VP, or CIO.
- 10+ years of experience managing large cross-functional teams and large domains of business technology, with a track record of strategically influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience developing and administering budgets within 1% of forecast.
- 10+ years of experience in a large bank environment, including OCC and regulatory oversight.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Technical knowledge of different operating systems, including Microsoft Windows, Linux, and Unix.
- Demonstrated success in applying best-practice solutions to achieve desired results.
- Proven ability to ensure technical infrastructure performs according to customer and market demands for service and security.
- A track record of achieving results in challenging environments.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
- A respected reputation for partnership and collaboration with Operations, Technology, Line of Business partners, and shared service functions.
- Demonstrated competence in leading managers and teams and building teamwork to achieve exceptional results.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver large, transformational programs and projects.
- Strong sense of urgency and understanding of business impact.
- Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
- Ability to synthesize data and simplify complex concepts for better understanding.
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross-functional insights.

Pay
Pay Range: $222,455.25 - $363,600.00
