Head of School - In Training

Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1-to-1 private school for grades 5–12, where personalized education unlocks the full potential of each student.

About the role

As Head of School in Training, you’ll lead a campus that inspires, empowers, and builds a thriving community where learning is truly customized for every student. This hire will support the Burlington campus for approximately 4-6 months as interim Head of School, then support other Fusion Boston locations. Within the school year, Fusion is expected to continue its growth in this market, requiring further permanent and additional Head of School level leadership support.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead your campus team with vision, innovation, and a culture of heart and collaboration.
• Inspire and develop staff through clear expectations, coaching, and professional growth.
• Drive enrollment through community connections, partnerships, and events.
• Ensure operational and fiscal health, balancing high-quality programming with smart management.
• Build strong relationships with students, families, and staff to create a dynamic and supportive school culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• 3–5 years of successful head of school or school principal leadership experience.
• Experience with enrollment management, ownership, and growth.
• Experience managing a budget, financial reporting, and tracking specific school fiscal health metric performance.
• Proven ability to build culture and lead diverse teams.
• Passion for alternative education and supporting diverse learners.
• Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience owning, managing, and steering hiring to appropriate staffing levels.

In addition to base salary, Fusion Heads of School are eligible for performance bonuses tied to KPI achievement.

USD $98,000.00 - USD $115,000.00 /Yr.
