About the role
The Head of Sales Enablement, Americas, will play a critical role in building and evolving the sales enablement function to support AXA XL’s continued growth as a leading insurance organization. This leadership role will establish a data-driven sales operating model, including pipeline management, standardized operating rhythms, and scalable performance tracking. The role will partner closely with senior executives to shape sales enablement strategy while working with business leaders to drive effective execution across the organization. Success in this position requires robust strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate data and operational insights into clear actions and communications. The ideal candidate will bring experience building operational frameworks that improve sales effectiveness, drive alignment across teams, and support sustained revenue growth.
You will report to the Chief Client & Distribution Officer, Americas.
Responsibilities
- Own the Americas Sales Enablement strategy and multi-year roadmap, establishing the operating rhythm, governance, and performance standards that drive sustainable growth across all product lines and distribution channels.
- Define and govern the end-to-end sales operating system for the Americas—including CRM strategy, funnel definitions, dashboards, and leadership cadence ensuring consistent adoption, accountability, and scalable execution.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Client & Distribution Officer and Americas leadership, synthesizing market and performance insights into clear, decision-ready recommendations that shape priorities, resource allocation, and go-to-market strategy.
- Own pipeline health, forecasting integrity, and performance management for new business across the Americas, leading executive reviews to identify trends, remove blockers, and drive corrective actions to deliver growth commitments.
- Establish enterprise-grade reporting and analytics that connect sales activity to underwriting and portfolio outcomes, elevating insight quality and enabling leaders to improve productivity, win rates, and profitable growth.
- Lead cross-functional execution across Underwriting, Distribution, Client & Broker Management, Operations, and Finance to improve opportunity quality, speed-to-quote/bind, and conversion—driving consistent best practices across zones and segments.
- Sponsor and lead large-scale change initiatives that elevate commercial excellence across the Americas, aligning leaders on behaviors, processes, and measures, drive adoption through communications, enablement, and clear accountability mechanisms.
- Partner with segment and product leaders to design and execute go-to-market strategies for priority growth areas, including disciplined cross-sell/upsell plays and coordinated approaches for global and strategic accounts.
- Develop and elevate leadership capability across Zones and Lines of Business by coaching Zonal Leaders, Underwriting, and Client/Broker leaders on pipeline discipline, strategic selling, and execution—building a high-performing, data-driven growth culture.
- Partner with Americas Leadership to strengthen a sales culture that celebrates business development and commercial excellence, reinforcing consistent behaviors and performance expectations across the region.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior role within broker or sales management, sales operations (B2B), or management consulting, preferably in the financial services or property & casualty insurance industry.
Skills
- Knowledge: Robust knowledge of Salesforce CRM and sales pipeline management, with experience leveraging data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau); familiarity with financial markets, industry trends, and regulatory requirements preferred.
- Analysis: Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior executives and business leaders, influencing strategic decisions and driving business growth.
- Presentation and Communication: Ability to develop clear, compelling presentations and communicate strategic insights effectively to stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Pay
The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 170,800 – 284,600. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
