Head of Regulatory Compliance

About the role

The Head of Regulatory Compliance will lead and scale Scovai's compliance function at a critical stage of growth. Reporting to senior executive leadership, this role will own the design, implementation, and continuous evolution of the organization's regulatory framework across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain robust compliance programs addressing data privacy mandates (GDPR, CCPA), AI governance frameworks, and industry-specific regulatory requirements across financial services, healthcare, and technology sectors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulators, cultivating trusted relationships and proactively managing regulatory inquiries and examinations.
• Cross-functionally collaborate with Legal, Product, Engineering, and Data teams to embed compliance by design into Scovai's platform and operations.

Requirements

• Proven track record negotiating with regulators and managing enforcement investigations across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience implementing and certifying information security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, ISO 37301/19600).
• Hands-on background in product compliance and privacy-by-design processes, partnering with engineering and ML teams to operationalize controls.
• Deep experience in third-party/vendor risk management and contract negotiation for data processing and AI model supply chains.
• Knowledge of employment and labor law compliance across key markets (hiring practices, background checks, worker classification) relevant to talent-acquisition platforms.

Qualifications

• Prior compliance leadership experience in financial services, healthcare, or technology sectors.
• Hands-on familiarity with AI-specific regulatory frameworks and emerging global AI legislation.
• Experience managing compliance in high-growth or platform-based technology companies.
• Track record of building compliance functions from the ground up in scaling organizations.
