About the role

This role is full-time, permanent, and considering an annual salary between $170-200k/year.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning & messaging. Define clear, differentiated positioning: why us, why now, and for whom
  • Translate product capabilities into compelling, actionable narratives
  • Build messaging frameworks that scale across teams and challenge unclear strategy or undifferentiated features
  • Lead GTM end-to-end: insight, positioning, launch, and adoption
  • Anchor launches in real customer problems and differentiated value
  • Create repeatable, effective GTM systems
  • Synthesize insights into strong, opinionated perspectives and identify gaps or weaknesses in current messaging
  • Turn market and competitive signals into strategic direction
  • Partner closely with Product as a strategic advisor
  • Shape roadmap decisions based on differentiation and market opportunity
  • Drive value realization from first touch through expansion
  • Align messaging with activation, conversion, and in-product experience
  • Define success beyond outputs - focus on impact and continuously refine messaging based on results
  • Tie narratives to pipeline, adoption, and retention
  • Align Product, Sales, Marketing, and CS around a shared narrative and elevate how the organization communicates product value

Requirements

  • 7-12+ years in B2B SaaS product marketing
  • Proven ownership of positioning and GTM strategy
  • Strong strategic thinking and influence on product direction
  • Exceptional storytelling and ability to simplify complexity
  • Deep customer empathy and sound judgment
  • Experience in high-growth, ambiguous environments

Qualifications

This role requires a deep understanding of B2B SaaS product marketing, proven experience in defining clear, differentiated positioning, and a track record of influencing product direction. The ideal candidate should also possess exceptional storytelling skills and a strong ability to simplify complexity. They should have a deep understanding of customer needs and be able to make sound judgments based on that knowledge. Additionally, they should have experience working in high-growth, ambiguous environments.

Skills

The successful candidate will bring a combination of strategic thinking, customer empathy, and exceptional storytelling to this role. They should be able to translate product capabilities into compelling narratives and build messaging frameworks that scale across teams. They should also be able to lead GTM efforts end-to-end, from insight to launch and adoption, and align messaging with activation, conversion, and in-product experience.
