Head of Product Design
About the role
TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions to help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. Our platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. We are seeking a Head of Product Design who will lead our product design team to become a benchmark for agentic design, shaping product decisions with AI as a genuine collaborator.
Responsibilities
- Set the bar for what an agentic design org looks like and prove it in what TRM ships and what the industry copies
- Attract, hire, develop, and retain top design talent
- Lead a team of five product designers, setting and managing team priorities
- Represent TRM's point of view on agentic design externally and internally
- Design with AI as a working partner, defining how a human directs and trusts an AI agent
Requirements
- 7+ years as a practicing product designer, including 3+ years directly managing a design team
- Built or substantially grown a product design team at a B2B SaaS company
- Experience designing product surfaces where AI or automation does real work on a user's behalf
Qualifications
- Player-coach approach to design, still designing yourself, not just directing
- Ability to walk through a workflow you've built with AI tools
- Experience with AI tools in a real workflow

- AI fluency, using AI to accelerate and reimagine your craft
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Pay
Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 annually
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM
