About the role

Cirque du Soleil is seeking a Wardrobe Technician specializing in shoes for the production Drawn to Life in Orlando, FL. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall condition of all footwear used in the show, ensuring performers have safe, functional, and performance-ready shoes.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of all show footwear.
• Execute repairs on shoes, including sole replacement, stitching, patching, and hardware adjustments.
• Maintain an organized inventory of shoes, spare parts, and repair materials.
• Collaborate with wardrobe and production teams to address quick-change needs and performance issues.
• Document all repairs and track the lifecycle of each pair of shoes.
• Assist with fittings and modifications to ensure proper fit and comfort for performers.

Requirements

• Proven experience in shoe repair, cobbling, or footwear maintenance (theatrical or dance experience strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of various materials used in performance footwear (leather, synthetics, rubber, etc.).
• Proficiency with hand tools, sewing machines, and adhesives used in shoe repair.
• Ability to work under pressure during show runs and quick-turnaround situations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the show schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in footwear repair or theatrical wardrobe is a plus.
• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in shoe repair or a related field.
• Experience in a live entertainment, dance, or theatrical environment is highly desirable.
