Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is full-time and permanent.
Responsibilities
- Lead the HR and Staffing teams to deliver a high-quality, proactive and business-focused service
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team on workforce planning, organisational development, employee relations and change management
- Develop and implement people strategies covering recruitment, retention, succession planning, talent development and employee engagement
- Ensure HR compliance, governance, payroll oversight and effective use of people data, systems and reporting to support business decisions
- Champion Manchester Central’s culture, values and leadership behaviours, driving initiatives that enhance performance, wellbeing and inclusion
Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ experience as an HR practitioner, with a track record of progressively more responsible roles
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law, HR best practice and managing complex employee relations and organisational change programmes
- Experience of workforce planning, talent management, leadership development and organisational design
- Strong commercial awareness, supported by experience of budgeting, people analytics and performance reporting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the diplomacy and tact to influence at all levels
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaged and values-led workplace culture
- A flexible, self-motivated approach, with the resilience to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
