Head of Finance / Robotics Startup / Onsite in Woburn, MA

About the role

The Head of Finance will support an early-stage robotics startup based in Woburn, MA that aims to modernize the automotive industry through advanced AI-powered systems. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role requires onsite presence five days per week.

Responsibilities

• Support financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Drive strategic planning initiatives such as funding, scaling, and acquisition preparation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and operations

Requirements

• Experience as a #2 under a CFO or as head of finance/controller at a small company
• Automotive or manufacturing industry background
• Hands-on experience with SaaS or hardware product financial operations
• Track record supporting funding rounds, acquisitions, or IPOs
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to implement scalable financial systems and processes

• Familiarity with SaaS business models or hardware commercialization
• Experience managing ambiguity and rapid change
