Head of Finance
About Treeswift
We empower energy companies to modernize their field work to meet the growth and challenges ahead. Our platform, built on cutting-edge hardware, sensors, and AI, revolutionizes work in the toughest environments.
Treeswift was founded in midtown Manhattan, with offices in San Francisco and Philadelphia. We have raised funding from leading investors including Penny Pritzker’s Inspired Capital. We are currently working with three of the five largest utilities in the US.
To tackle this challenge, we are assembling a team of mission-driven experts with deep industry experience in robotics and enterprise software development. We are now seeking a Head of Finance to join us at a pivotal stage of company growth.
The Position
We are hiring our first Head of Finance at a critical juncture of our growth. We have proven our product with some of the largest utilities in the country, and we are now building the financial strategy, infrastructure, and operating rigor required to scale an enterprise technology company for the long term.
This role goes beyond traditional FP&A or reporting. We are looking for a strategic finance leader who can help shape how the business scales, from pricing strategy and capital planning to long-range forecasting, investor readiness, and operational decision-making.
What You'll Do
Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape company strategy and drive high-impact financial and operational decision-making across GTM, Engineering, Operations, and expansion initiatives.
Own and evolve the company's long-range financial model, translating complex enterprise deal structures, hardware economics, and growth drivers into actionable insights and recommendations.
Lead strategic planning, scenario modeling, and capital allocation decisions to support sustainable growth.
Help build the financial foundation and operating discipline required to scale from early-stage growth through later-stage maturity.

Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting
Define and operationalize the financial and business metrics that matter most, creating visibility into company performance and informing executive decision-making.
Partner cross-functionally to improve business economics across gross margin, deployment efficiency, customer acquisition, retention, and long-term profitability.
Build scalable forecasting, planning, and reporting processes that support rapid growth and increasing operational complexity.
Collaborate with Business Operations and other cross-functional leaders to strengthen financial rigor.
Who You Are
10–15+ years of experience across strategic finance, FP&A, investment, or corporate finance, with increasing ownership and influence.
Experience scaling a venture-backed enterprise technology company through multiple stages of growth, ideally from Series A or B through Series D, IPO, or acquisition.
A strong track record of influencing executive-level strategic decisions, not simply reporting on business performance.
Deep understanding of enterprise business models, including complex pricing structures, long-term contracts, and value-based pricing.
Experience operating in high-growth, ambiguous environments where finance plays a central role in shaping company direction.
Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with the ability to connect financial insights to broader business strategy.
Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, board preparation, and strategic finance initiatives.
Executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and leadership.
