About the role

The Global Fashion team is one of eBay's most vital verticals, generating approximately $10 billion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV). Our focus spans apparel, sneakers, watches, handbags, and jewelry. We drive initiatives like eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee, Connected Products, and Certilogo, all aimed at building the future of circular fashion.

Role Overview

As Head of Category Manager for Accessories on the US Fashion team, you will own the end-to-end growth agenda and P&L performance for the accessories category, representing approximately $300M in annual GMV. This is a high impact senior role for someone who can operate as both a strategist and commercial owner: diagnose performance, understand category levers, identify the highest value opportunities, build category strategy, and drive cross functional execution to deliver measurable GMV, customer, and seller impact.

Responsibilities

  • Own category P&L and growth: lead end to end category performance, including GMV, conversion, ASP, supply, active buyers, seller performance, traffic, promotions, trust signals, and inventory quality
  • Run the business with rigor: report on performance through weekly and monthly business reviews, understand key drivers, question the data, and translate insights into clear recommendations and actions
  • Set the category growth agenda: define where to win, where to invest, and what to deprioritize, grounded in buyer demand, seller economics, competitive dynamics, and eBay’s right to win
  • Lead strategic projects: diagnose barriers to growth across selection, pricing / value, seller activation, trust, conversion, merchandising, and supply quality. Quantify opportunities and drive cross-functional plans with clear owners and milestones
  • Drive seller and supply strategy: identify priority seller segments/ brands, and inventory gaps. Partner with seller teams to grow sellers and unlock differentiated supply
  • Improve buyer conversion and trust: partner with Product, Trust, Marketing, and Authentication Operations to improve the buyer experience, strengthen confidence in high value purchases, and scale trust programs such as Authenticity Guarantee
  • Drive cross functional execution: drive initiatives across Product, Marketing, Analytics, Trust, Seller Teams, eBay Live, and Operations with clear owners, milestones, decision points, and success metrics
  • Lead AI enabled transformation: identify where AI can unlock step change outcomes and partner with Product/ Analytics/ Eng to pilot, measure, and scale
  • Build executive ready narratives: create crisp materials for senior leaders that clearly articulate the problem, opportunity size, options, tradeoffs, recommendation, and ask
  • Unblock execution: influence across teams, resolve tradeoffs, and ensure follow-through, especially when priorities compete
