Head of Developer Technical Content, Cloud Product Marketing

About the role

Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the end-to-end technical content and go-to-market strategy for builders, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact presence.
  • Lead the creation of innovative technical demos, tutorials, and "Hello World" experiences that help builders overcome adoption blockers.
  • Influence product roadmaps by acting as a trusted partner to Engineering and Product teams, using feedback and technical expertise.
  • Manage a multi-disciplinary team of technical marketers, fostering a culture that pioneers fresh approaches to technical education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 13 years of experience in marketing, including experience in inbound and outbound marketing for developer products.
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects and building partnerships with Product and Engineering leadership.
  • Experience writing and reviewing code samples, technical documentation, and product requirements to create developer-focused content.
  • Experience working in the developer ecosystem.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience utilizing Agentic AI frameworks or developer kits to build and deploy autonomous AI systems.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and generative AI workflows; actively using AI to drive innovation.
  • Passion for the developer community and deep understanding of builder motivations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence executive stakeholders across multiple business units.
  • Proven track record in Technical Marketing, Developer Relations (DevRel), or Technical Advocacy, with a demonstrated ability to produce compelling product narratives and technical content for formats (demos, video, social, blogs).

Pay

US: $219000 - $305000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
