Head of Design

About the role

Fin is a next-generation payments platform designed for high-value, global, and instant transactions. We are a Series A-stage company backed by Sequoia, Circle, and other notable investors. Our platform, powered by stablecoins, enables users and businesses to move millions of dollars in seconds—whether to other Fin users, directly into bank accounts, or across crypto rails. By combining the speed of crypto with the reliability and trust of traditional finance, Fin reimagines how money moves worldwide. If banks and payment products were reinvented today, they would look like Fin.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve Fin's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across mobile and web as the product grows
• Shape product decisions through strong product thinking, helping define what gets built and why, not just how it looks
• Bring high craft to visual UI work, from interaction details to polish on shipped features
• Move fast: iterate quickly across early concepts, prototypes, and shipped product without getting stuck in over-process
• Take on a range of design responsibilities as needed, from core product UI to marketing assets and other brand touchpoints, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Work closely with engineers and cofounders daily, translating ambiguous problems into clear, buildable designs

Requirements

• The role is centered on core product design
• Experience with research, product copy, design systems, brand, or marketing design is useful, but none of those is the primary job

Qualifications

• Strong product and interaction design skills
• The ability to own work independently from an unclear starting point
• Strong product judgment and comfort challenging the initial solution
• High fluency with modern design and prototyping tools
• The ability to produce and revise strong work quickly
• Experience working on a small, fast-moving team
• Comfort handling a broad range of design problems without specialized support
• A high degree of accountability for what ultimately ships

Skills

• Experience in fintech is helpful but not required
• Experience with consumer products, SMB products, or other software with a high UX bar is relevant
