Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead the company's completions function, establishing completion strategies aligned with reservoir objectives, production goals, operating requirements, and overall development plans.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical curiosity, staying current on emerging completion technologies, methodologies, equipment, and industry practices and evaluating their applicability to the company's operations.
  • Lead annual and longer-term completion planning, including schedules, resource requirements, cost forecasts, and execution priorities.
  • Provide strong, visible leadership to the completions organization, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong relationships across engineering, reservoir, production, drilling, operations, commercial, and other functions to align priorities and drive results.
  • Develop productive relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other external partners critical to completion execution.
  • Manage approximately $500 million in annual completion capital, maintaining disciplined oversight of budgets, forecasts, expenditures, and resource allocation.
  • Analyze completion efficiency and well performance to identify opportunities to improve cost, cycle time, execution quality, and production outcomes.
  • Develop and utilize operating data, analytics, and reporting to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure completion activities comply with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Establish safety and operational excellence as fundamental expectations across employees, contractors, and service providers.
  • Identify and implement technologies, operating practices, and approaches that improve worker safety and reduce environmental impact.
  • Supervise & Professional Development: Operates as a key member of the operational organization with significant exposure to field operations, multidisciplinary technical teams, contractors, suppliers, and senior leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant upstream oil and gas experience, including at least 5 years of completions experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience preferred, with demonstrated success leading technical and/or operational teams.
  • Deep knowledge of completion design, fracture stimulation, field execution, well performance, operational scheduling, and completion cost management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead both technical and people dimensions of a completions organization.
  • Experience managing significant capital programs, operating budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
  • Experience within a small to mid-sized E&P operating environment strongly preferred, beginning within a larger operator and subsequently working in smaller or mid-sized E&P is highly valued.
  • Haynesville experience is beneficial but not required; broad completion expertise, leadership capability, and operating judgment.
  • Demonstrated technical curiosity and commitment to remaining current on evolving completion technologies and industry practices.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including familiarity with tools such as Power BI or Spotfire.
  • Familiarity with industry well lifecycle software.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, technical professionals, contractors, and executive leadership.
  • Strong leadership, project management, decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Valid driver's license.
