About the role

The University is seeking an experienced commercial contracting professional to join the finance division senior team. This crucial role involves developing a strategic plan to drive performance improvement and change, offering expert insight into commercial contracts, and supporting the future-proofing of the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strategic plan for the team to drive performance improvement and change.
• Provide expert insight into commercial contracts across the business, including managing a wide variety of categories.
• Support the contracting process for services delivered to external organisations.
• Develop compliance and governance arrangements to minimize risk.
• Enhance contracting systems to ensure robust processes across the organisation.
• Work closely with the Executive team to deliver value-for-money, strong long-term relationships, and mitigated risk.
