Head of Avionics Manufacturing

For our client, we are seeking a Head of Avionics Manufacturing to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This leader will own the strategy and execution for avionics manufacturing, guiding the organization through a critical phase of growth and industrialization. The role will partner closely with executive stakeholders to translate production performance into clear decisions and to ensure the manufacturing system is ready for higher-rate output. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity to build a scalable organization, strengthen quality and schedule performance, and support the delivery of manufacturable hardware in a demanding aerospace environment. Location: Long Beach, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $223,000 – $335,000 annually Responsibilities Set the multi-year strategy for avionics manufacturing in partnership with executive stakeholders Build and lead a multi-layered organization of manufacturing leaders Translate production data into actionable insights for executive audiences Own the complete manufacturing and test roadmap for avionics hardware Drive the transition to high-rate production while ensuring quality Hold the organization accountable to schedule and yield commitments Foster cross-functional alignment to ensure products are manufacturable Qualifications 5+ years in progressive leadership roles in manufacturing Experience leading manufacturing leaders and managing complex operations Proven expertise in electro-mechanical manufacturing processes History of scaling manufacturing organizations through production ramps Ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field Benefits Competitive salary and equity Generous PTO and sick leave policy Parental leave Annual learning and development stipend Transparent compensation practices Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
