About the role
The Head JV Girls Soccer Coach position at King’s Schools is a seasonal role located in Shoreline, WA. The position is responsible for developing a Christ-centered environment where student-athletes can grow and excel.
Responsibilities
- Yearly Preparation: Develop Core Covenant statements and objectives for the coming sport season.
- Student and Coach Development: Oversee the development of the Junior Varsity program in your sport.
- Rules and Regulations: Maintain understanding and knowledge of rules and regulations regarding the sport.
- Budget and Fundraising Management: Manage budget so that it meets the needs of your program; run fundraising ideas through the athletic director and school business office.
- In Season Management: Pre-Season Prep: Hold pre-season staff meeting to outline covenants, goals and program for the coming season and to make staff assignments.
- Coaching Leadership and Player Growth: Assume full responsibility for all phases of the program, reflect a Christ-centered approach, ensure all assistant coaches are certified to coach, and oversee athlete mental, physical and spiritual development.
- Post Season: End of the Year Management: Attend any league meetings, recommend facility maintenance and improvements, update records, plan and execute year end team banquet, organize awards night, and plan and complete equipment and purchase list for following year.
- Summer Season: Lead sport-specific youth summer camp planning and execution, lead HS program in offseason programming, attend professional development coach clinics or seminars, and assume full responsibility for all phases of the summer program.
- Out-of-Season: Supervisory role only during this time, no sport-specific coaching allowed, assume responsibility for WIAA rules to be followed, and conduct that reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and aligns with its mission, vision, Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
Requirements
- Christ-centered belief in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- A committed Christian with a growing personal walk with God, evidenced through daily spiritual practices.
- Previous coaching experience recommended.
- Coaching certification through FinalForms.
- Possess and maintain a valid CPR/AED/First Aid card.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education preferred.
Skills
- Ability to pass background checks relating to DSHS Secretary’s List of Crimes and Negative Actions (WAC 388-113).
Benefits
King’s Schools offers a stipend compensation of $2,500 - $7,500 DOE.

Schedule
Seasonal, starting in June and ending in May.
